Who needs a licence?
Each named person who can sign in to DeskSide and access your company rooms needs one licence. Licences can be reassigned when somebody leaves or changes role.
Do we need new hardware?
No. The launch product runs on standard Android phones, including compatible company devices you already manage.
Does DeskSide support iPhone?
Not at launch. Every trial and paid-team participant currently needs a compatible Android phone. We plan to add iPhone support, but prospects should not buy on the assumption of a particular delivery date.
How is DeskSide different from Zello?
Zello Work is designed primarily for frontline push-to-talk, dispatch, location and emergency workflows. DeskSide focuses on lightweight voice presence and natural drop-ins between remote and hybrid office colleagues. They solve different communication problems. See Zello’s current plans.
How do colleagues join the trial?
Any accepted member can invite colleagues at the workspace company domain. The workspace owner can also invite external-domain participants. Up to 14 named colleagues receive a private invitation; each accepts the Individual User Terms and acknowledges the Privacy Notice before access is provisioned.
Who can buy or manage billing?
Any accepted member can initiate the first team purchase if authorised by the Customer, or hand it to a buyer. The purchaser becomes Billing Admin. After purchase, only that Billing Admin controls payment methods, cancellation and chargeable seat changes. They can transfer control to procurement or another authorised person through a private verified invitation; ordinary members remain read-only and cannot create charges.
